Dear Reformation Family:
Because of last weekend’s bad weather the healing service for the month of January has been rescheduled to this coming Saturday, January 30th following the 6:30 pm Saturday Praise Worship. If you or someone in your life are in need of healing, please come so that Prayer Teams can pray with you. — In Jesus’ Saving
Please be advised that Culpeper County Schools will have a two hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, 1/28/16. The Place will open on time and will be open with a regular schedule.
Please be advised that our parking lot has been plowed and that all church activities will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, 1/26/16.
The Place will be closed today and Wednesday, 1/27/16.
Going forward, if Culpeper County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather conditions, The Place will also be closed. If you have any questions regarding The Place, please contact Ingrid at 571-213-6070.
We appreciate your patience over the past few days as we all dealt with Winter Storm Jonas.
Due to the inclement weather, please be advised that all worship services and church activities are canceled through Monday, 1/25/16. The Place and the church office are closed through Monday. We will post updated information on Monday. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
As you’ve probably heard, there’s the possibility of snow coming our way this coming weekend. If the weather gets bad, it’s important to know what will become of our church schedule. If the Culpeper County Schools have closed for the day, all activities at Reformation will also be postponed, unless otherwise decided. We will always try to have Worship on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. However, if deemed necessary for safety purposes, the Executive Committee of the church may cancel Worship. Activities and church closure information can be found on our website, our Facebook page our Twitter and Instagram accounts. We will also try to call as many as possible. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

The Marriage Feast at Cana:
Jesus’ first miracle. He turns water into wine. (John 2:1-11)
The Sundays after Epiphany continue to celebrate the revelation of the glory of God to us as it was made known to the magi and to those on Jordan’s banks at the baptism of Jesus—today using wedding imagery. Our God rejoices over God’s people “as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride.” By the power of the Spirit there are gifts galore for everyone. In Christ Jesus the best wine is saved for last. Taste and see.
This week we celebrate the Baptism of Our Lord. Jesus is revealed, as God recognizes him as his son.
The Baptism of Our Lord cannot help but recall our own and all baptismal blessings. We recall and celebrate our adoption as daughters and sons, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the promised company of almighty God when we “pass through the waters . . . the rivers . . . fire.” On this day the heavens open again, for this assembly, and we receive the gift of the beloved Son of God in bread and wine.
