Advent Prayer Vigil

Advent Prayer Vigil

Prayer Vigil

“…deliver us from evil.”

Every day in the newspapers and on our computers and televisions, we see the evidence of evil activity that is sweeping through the world.

As children of God, we are called to step “into the gap” to seek the favor of the Lord for ourselves, our families, friends, neighbors and our country.

Prayer Ministry, heeding the call of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, has scheduled a special Prayer Vigil during the season of Advent.  In the season of preparing our hearts for Jesus’ coming, we are to be on our knees asking God to do battle against all things that are unholy and un-Godly.

We will hold a twelve hour vigil on Wednesday, December 16th from 9am until 9pm.  The regular Wednesday worship service will take place with special readings, prayers and hymns that tie in with the theme of the vigil.  Holy Communion will be part of the worship.

Everyone is welcome and needed to help fill all of the fifteen-minute time slots:  whether at the church building, at home, or wherever you happen to be for the time you choose.

We will extend an invitation to the two churches that share our building and pray for their participation.

Please prayerfully consider being part of this prayer event. Greeters and intercessors will be needed.  You may sign up for one or more time slots, however the Spirit leads you.

God bless and protect us all.
