Advent Worship

Published by:

ChristmasEve

It’s ADVENT!
Worship with us Wednesdays at 12 noon and 6:30 pm

During Advent, we will examine Biblical texts which foretell of Jesus’ coming and are fulfilled in the Lord’s birth. This time of the year some want to move right to Christmas.

“Worship is when you’re aware that what you’ve been given is far greater than what you can give… Worship is a voluntary act of gratitude offered by the saved to the Savior, by the healed to the Healer, and by the delivered to the Deliverer.”

RLC’s annual Thanksgiving Eve Worship
Wednesday, November 23 at 12 Noon & 7 pm

This is an opportunity for us to give thanks and praise to God for all His blessings. Most importantly, the blessing of his Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The service will include singing, confession, scripture reading, prayer and Holy Communion. As Paul writes in I Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray unceasingly, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. On this Thanksgiving, let us give thanks to God!

Got Coats? Got Jackets?

Men’s Ministry is having their annual coats/jackets donation drive. This is for needy children, women, and men in the community who would appreciate your remembering them at this time. A special drop-off bin is located by the church office. Donation form for a tax deduction is readily available for you, too.

Please pass that request to Wayne Baker, Carl Barb, or Morris Foster of Men’s Ministry. We appreciate your support of this cold weather need in our community!
